Casey James

I’m a published photographer with two decades of experience in astrophotography and 6 years of experience in microphotography. I’m passionately interested in the beauty of the universe at every scale. From distant galaxies and comets light years away to the intricate details of a world we call microscopic. I’ve taken photos of galaxies from the top of Mauna Kea; Hawaii and I’ve taken photos of a tiny universe on the surface of an orange inside my home. I’m endlessly curious. I strive to create images that might inspire curiosity and to inform those who look upon them of a world unseen.

Beyond photography, I’m an avid project doer, a restorer, and a collector. I have countless hobbies. I believe that if something is worth doing then it’s worth overdoing. I’ve earned my degree in mathematics and I’m currently working on my FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification so I can work on aircraft.
